Can I have an infection to go, please?

I do not know what is going on with me, but I’m on my third infection in a little over a month.

First, I had the staph infection on my left middle finger, which is STILL healing (the skin is growing back), and a double ear infection (worse on the left side), which has gone away. But now, I have infection of the hair follicles around my underarm (folliculitis). Gross, I know. At first I thought it was Shingles. I’ve had that before, not fun. Shingles is the chicken pox virus that has been left dormant in your body and reactivated. It affects the nerve endings and it is painful, itchy, burning, all the above. In the process of getting my bacterial infection diagnosis (folliculitis), I learned from this fantastic doctor that Shingles always reactivates on the same side of your body and frequently in the same area of the previous occurrence. For example, if you have Shingles on the right leg and buttock, years later if it comes back it should be on the right side of your body and will likely be in the same general region too. Why? Because the specific nerve endings in that area area

Thankfully, it’s not that. I’m taking care of my body, no junk food, lots of good food like veggies and fruits – no soda. The only thing I can think of is stress. I’m unemployed. Money’s tight, plus all the other stuff going on right now. It can get depressing.

I’m looking into getting my Masters though, so that might perk me up. However, it may just cause more money problems because I wouldn’t be able to work. So, it’s a catch-22.

So for now, I’m just taking my antibiotic and will start dinner momentarily.

After I finish this hot chocolate, it’s so darn cold outside, buried under snow.
