Senator Ron Johnson Called Me to Discuss Healthcare

My phone rang, flashing a Milwaukee-area number I did not recognize. Google search was just a second too late, and I missed the call. Turns out it was Senator Ron Johnson, the Republican from Wisconsin who represents me.

I jumped when the vibration and notification alert chimed in. Did a U.S. Senator just leave me a voicemail message? Was he calling to talk about my open letter?

I am one of your constituents. You represent me, and I am ashamed that you do. I saw your vote today in the U.S. Senate to bring to the floor any number of terrifying bills that take varying damaging action against the Affordable Care Act and the principles of Americans to protect the less than fortunate of us all.

It was impossible to hide my anticipation. Maybe I was only one call away from convincing the Johnson of Graham-Cassidy-Heller-Johnson NOT to take health insurance away from tens of millions of Americans.

So I hit play.

Ohhhh.

Well, at least we can use Ron Johnson’s voice for any fun and legal things we can think of!
