Testicular Cancer Spread to Lymph Nodes

Here’s the latest updates in regards to my health. I have learned the testicular cancer spread to lymph nodes. There is a 2cm lymph node and two 11mm lymph nodes that are cancerous, which is the reason for me needing treatment. I met with the radiologist on Tuesday, who felt that there was a 75-80% chance of radiology fixing the issue, but that means going in Monday-Friday for approximately 4 weeks. They felt that if I went through chemotherapy, I would have a 95% chance of it being taken care of.

I have an appointment with the chemotherapy specialist on next Monday afternoon. From there, I will determine the route of action I will be taking.

Some other miscellaneous bits of information..

Radiology consult. Have my dad here to help with questions and remembering things.

Back home. Went from could barely stay awake to can’t sleep (something apparently happened while brushing my teeth that caused the switch).. Guess it is back to watchin a movie.

I tell ya… One of the most difficult things for me today since surgery…. Wearing Jeans for over 12 hours! LOL.. Yeah, I know it sounds silly, but due to gaining weight due to laying around not being productive for over a week, my jeans have become a little tight, as I’ve been wearing sweats since the surgery!

Just so that everyone knows, I am sharing my story to be informative and trying to be strong (along with some humor about my situation). I am NOT posting for the “woe is me” effect.

Since sharing my story yesterday, I have received texts, calls, and PM’s showing love and support from many of you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the kind words.

For those that are curious about any additional updates, I have to meet with both a chemo specialist and a radiation specialist and I have to choose what the best course of action is. I have an appointment with what I think is the radiation specialist tomorrow afternoon. At this point in time, I’m going to attempt to return to work on Wednesday.

Editor’s Note: Bryan needs your help with the incredible medical bills for his cancer treatments. Anything – even $5 or $10 – would be so appreciated.
