Week Two: The New Clean Lifestyle

Eating cleaner foods and developing better habits like drinking more water have been working really well for us. My husband has lost 11 pounds and I’ve lost 7 pounds so far. We also feel better overall.

I feel more energy now, and I don’t have cravings for junk food like I used to. My husband says the same thing. He also finds himself listening to his body more and knows when it’s time to drink water or get a certain nutrient. We’re hoping this will continue and that soon my husband will be off his high blood pressure medication and all that stuff. I’m hoping for myself to finally get a positive body image because I’m doing all the right things, feeding it all the right foods, and doing exercise. It has definitely improved, and I feel much better about my body. I actually bought a sexy dress for my party this coming weekend!

It’s so weird to feel your body telling you when you need something. There’s no fog on the brain, and there’s no binge eating. Between our Shakeology and our BarleyLife and/or LeafGreens (we change it up!), we enjoy food much more now, because it’s all natural, wholesome ingredients.

I’m excited to see what else will change in the next few weeks. We will probably end up sticking with this diet and instead start calling it a lifestyle change because there’s such a big difference in how we look and feel.

Oh yeah, and my skin? Crystal clear. That’s a nice perk.
