November is National Diabetes Awareness Month

Diabetes, whether it’s type 1 or type 2, is a serious illness that effects millions of people in the world. This month brings awareness to the disease by informing people of the symptoms, signs, and questions to ask your doctor about Diabetes.

My brother-in-law has type 2 Diabetes, however, he’s not overweight one bit. He’s pretty fit for his age, and eats pretty healthy. It just goes to show that sometimes, there’s just no clear cut rhyme or reason why anyone gets a disease. Even the healthiest people get struck down, and that’s why we need to be informed on the signs and symptoms of common diseases like Diabetes. That’s why November is dedicated to Diabetes.

Well, not just Diabetes, but it’s one of the more known health issue that the month brings awareness to. We’ll touch upon some of the others in the next few days, but in the meantime, learn about Diabetes and if you or a loved one match any of the symptoms, go get checked out by your doctor!
