Superbowl LI Party: Semi-Healthy Football Snacks

Superbowl LI is today! WOOO! Whether you’re rooting for the Atlanta Falcons or the New England Patriots, everyone agrees that a party first needs snacks and the Superbowl is a day to have a bit of a cheat day. Enjoy!

One of my favorite go-to snacks is pepperoni chips. They hold up really well, so you can serve them with spinach dip or salsa. It’s easy to make and definitely will be a crowd-pleaser.

Superbowl Pepperoni Chips

  • 1-2 bags of turkey or regular Pepperoni
  • 3 sheets of paper towel

  1. Place two pieces of paper towel on top of a microwaveable plate.
  2. Place as many pepperonis you want that will *fit* on the plate. You can make more batches.
  3. Place the third paper towel on top.
  4. Microwave until stiff and crispy, usually around 1 minute.

Another great recipe to use for maybe later in the big game is Crockpot buffalo chicken bites! It’s another easy one to make and delicious to eat!

Superbowl Party Quick Tips

When deciding on how to feed your hungry party-goers, you can do something as simple as minor adjustments to your current favorites. Use sweet potato skins instead of regular potato skins. Cut soft pretzels (homemade or store-bought) into smaller pieces. Instead of potato chips, use tortilla chips. Instead of nacho dip, use regular or flavored hummus or artichoke dip.

As for the alcohol, some people just like beer. But to spice it up, try hard cider, hard lemonade, or make a pitcher of margaritas or sangria.

If you will be in Houston at the game..
